Endurance

The word endurance means “the ability to do something difficult for a long time: the ability to deal with pain or suffering that continues for a long time”.

Endure means “to support without breaking or yielding, to remain in the same state”.

Endurance is one of the most important foundational stones needed for a long and prosperous marriage. Endurance in marriage is not something that you purpose or manufacture in your heart or mind. It is obtained by both husband and wife humbling themselves at the feet of Jesus and allowing him to lay within their hearts the precious humility stone of endurance!

The apostle Paul knew and obtained this precious stone of endurance and admonished Timothy (2nd Timothy 2:3) to endure hardness as a good soldier of the cross. When couples have the cross of The Lord Jesus Christ working in their personal lives and within their marriage they are able to withstand any storm of life!

It is only at the foot of the cross that you can obtain this precious stone of endurance that will support you and will give you the ability to deal with any pain or suffering that life brings
